Houston homicide investigators are trying to figure out if road rage or an on going dispute is the motive for a deadly shooting in Northeast Houston on Wednesday night.
What HPD has been able to figure out is that at 10 minutes until 9 p.m. there was a confrontation in the parking lot of the LP grocery store on Bennington. Some sort of confrontation occurred between the occupants of two different vehicles and shots were fired. A male in a Chevy Impala was shot twice in the head. The driver with the victim took off to a home a few blocks away where they called 911 for help.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. At this hour, homicide detectives are interviewing witnesses and trying to get a description of the suspects. They are also trying to determine if the victim or someone in the car with the victim was in an ongoing dispute with the suspects or whether the shooting was a random case of road rage.
