One bank robbery suspect is dead, another injured, and two others are in the custody of Harris County deputies following a vehicle chase that ended in northeast Houston.
The robbery incident was reported around 2 p.m. Thursday at a Wells Fargo Bank branch in the 9500 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway frontage road.
The suspects led Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies and Houston Police Department officers on a vehicle chase that ended abruptly in the 9800 block of Ribbonwood in northeast Harris County.
When the white van carrying the four male suspects crashed, all of them ran away and led authorities on a foot chase.
When two of the suspects fired weapons toward deputies, the deputies fired gunshots in response, which struck the two suspects.
One of the suspects was killed and another was wounded. The wounded suspect was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
SkyFOX captured aerial images as police and deputies took the two remaining suspects into custody.
No deputies or officers were injured.
