Report: Fan was standing alone before fatal fall

ATLANTA (AP) - A police report says that witnesses didn't see anyone else standing near an Atlanta Braves fan when he fell to his death at the team's stadium.

The report reflects the account of 4 eyewitnesses who saw Ronald Lee Homer Jr. fall about 65 feet on Monday night from a fourth-level smoking area into a parking lot for Braves players. The report released Tuesday says there were no cameras in the area.

It describes the fall as accidental.

The report says Homer was unconscious and wasn't breathing when paramedics arrived after the fall that happened around 8:30. Homer was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Homer, a lifelong Braves fan, had told his mother in a phone call shortly before the accident that he was preparing to head to his seat after a rain delay.

Associated Press Writers Johnny Clark and Charles Odum in Atlanta contributed to this report.

The players charged out on the field like they always do... The band played like it always does.. And the cheerleaders cheered like they always do. The only thing different were the T-shirts on the fans.. Darryl Webster has one of the new ones.. One that says Lamar Texans. He thinks the mascot change is no big deal really."the freshman coming in they're ok with the Texans. I think the community is beginning to adapt to it. Exactly.
