MARIETTA, Ga. -

Police in Marietta are asking for help in finding a missing elderly man.

Authorities said that Kenneth Carter, 78, was last seen Monday around 3:45 p.m. leaving his home in a gold 2010 Chevrolet Impala with Georgia plates "PD04FA".

Carter was headed to a barber shop, but never arrived, police said. He requires medication, which has his family concerned for his health and safety, authorities said.

Carter is 5'4" tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and salt-and-pepper hair. Police say he was last seen wearing khaki shorts, unknown color shirt, dark suspenders, black socks, black shoes and a multi-colored flat cap.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Marietta Police Department at 770-794-5300.
