Posted: Updated:

CLINTON, Conn. (AP) - Clinton police are investigating the theft of 1,000 watches from a local outlet store.

Police say someone broke into the Fossil Outlet Store at Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets early Saturday morning, targeting the designer time pieces.

They made off with watches designed by Michael Kors, Emporio Armani and others, with an estimated value of about $175,000.

Surveillance video shows the thieves were wearing masks and gloves when they broke into the store between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday.

Police say store employees discovered the theft when they came to open the outlet a few hours later.

No arrests have been made.
