Astros affected by latest round of Major League Baseball suspensions

The Houston Astros as a team was not immune to the suspensions issued by Major League Baseball on Monday that were related to performance-enhancing drugs.
The Astros released the following statementregarding the suspension of minor league pitcher Sergio Escalona:
"We were disappointed to learn of the involvement ofSergio Escalona in relation to this matter for violating Major LeagueBaseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. We fully support Major League Baseball'spolicy and its efforts to eliminate performance-enhancing substances from ourgame. Per the protocol outlined in theJoint Drug Program, the Astros will not comment further on this matter."
