Houston Rockets forward Terrence Jones has been arrested in Portland, Ore. area after police say witnesses saw him stomping on the leg of a sleeping homeless man.
Officers took Jones, 21, into custody after 2 a.m. on Wednesday outside a nightclub in downtown Portland.
A sergeant who was patrolling the area says he observed Jones walk by a doorway where two homeless men were sleeping. The sergeant then says Jones proceeded to yell the phrase "Wake up" toward the homeless men before he raised his leg and stomped down on one of the legs of one of the men who were lying on the ground.
Officers approached Jones, who was among a group of people, and took him into custody.
Daniel John Kellerher, 46, suffered a minor leg injury as a result of the attack and did not require immediate medical attention.
Jones was taken to the Multnomah County Jail and charged with harassment.
