The Harris County Attorney was in civil court attempting to get a temporary injunction against Burger King.
This comes after allegations the local franchise operator of the fast food chain turned a blind eye to prostitution and crime on the property.
Burger King isn't the only business in the 9600 block of Bissonnet being labeled a public nuisance by county officials.
Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan has also filed lawsuits against the owner of Cubes nightclub and the property owner of the southwest Houston strip mall where the Burger King is located.
Ryan says he wants a temporary injunction that would require the businesses and the owners to hire private security and install surveillance cameras.
A judge is expected to rule on the case Tuesday.
Burger King and its franchisee did not have an attorney present in court during the hearing.
