NBA sources confirm that Gersson Rosas, Rockets executive vice-president/basketball operations, is the new general manager of the Dallas Mavericks.
The Rockets had already lost two other executives in recent weeks.
Former Rockets executive VP/basketball operations Sam Hinkie, was named in May as general manager of the Philadelphia 76ers and Arturas Karnisovas, former Rockets director of scouting, was hired by the Denver Nuggets last week as their new assistant general manager.
Rosas, who worked his way up through the Rockets organization, was named executive vicepresident of baskeball operations in September of last year.
A member of the Rockets organization for 10 years, he was previously the team's vice president of player personnel, director of player personnel, director of scouting and personnel scout/video coordinator.
Along with his duties with the Rockets, Rosas was also general manager of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the team's affiliate in the NBA Development League.
On his watch the Vipers won two NBA D-League titles and had been to the finals three times.
The Mavericks' hiring of Rosas was first reported by Yahoo Sports.
