HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

NBA sources confirmed the Houston Rockets have made an offer to free agent forward Mike Miller.

Miller was released on Monday by the Miami Heat for salary cap reasons.

Miller, the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2001 and the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2006, is a 13-year veteran.

He spent the last three years with the Heat, helping Miami to back-to-back NBA championships.

Meanwhile, the Rockets are also in the hunt for free agent center Marcus Camby.

His agent, Rick Kaplan, told FOX 26 Sports, if Camby becomes a free agent on Sunday, which is expected, the Rockets are "a leading contender" to sign him.
