Loved ones of 48-year-old Deidre Joseph asked Fox 26 Investigates to meet them at a home on Rustic Lake Lane in Cypress.
Family members say a psychiatric hospital referred Joseph to the home 2 years ago.
Now Joseph is missing.
Her sister Carolyn Okuarume told us she's been getting a lot of conflicting information from Willington Taylor, the man who operates the group home.
"Of course I have," Okuarume said. "He told me one thing he told my niece another thing and he lied and told my sister another thing. I really want to know from Mr. Taylor where is Deidre Joseph."
Taylor wasn't at the group home but we talked to him over the phone.
Taylor described his operation as an independent living home and told us a license wasn't required.
Victor Grijalva owns the residence.
He said when he rented the house to Taylor he knew nothing about mentally ill clients living there.
"He tell me he live with his wife and five children," Grijalva said. "He never tell me about running a business no extra people no mentally ill people."
Grijalva says Taylor has been housing mentally ill clients in 4 houses that he and his sister own in this subdivision.
He showed us this one that he says was destroyed by the mentally ill residents.
Grijalva is in the process of evicting Taylor.
Meanwhile Taylor admits the homeowners association wants him gone because he's operating a business in the neighborhood.
A business that's apparently putting both residents and mentally ill clients at risk.
