Two males sought in Conroe robberies

Posted: Updated:
CONROE, Texas (FOX 26) -

Conroe police are searching for at least two males involved in at least three reported robberies throughout Montgomery County.

Officers arrived on Thursday morning to the site of a reported aggravated robbery in the 1900 block of Westview Boulevard where witnesses described the suspects as two black males with handguns who wore ski masks. Not too long after that robbery, Montgomery police were involved in a short vehicle chase and took two suspects into custody, but two other suspects were able to escape.

Police searched throughout the city of Montgomery for the other two suspects but were not able to find them.

Montgomery police searched the vehicle driven in the chase and found items that they later determined were used in the earlier Conroe robbery.

Two other robbery incidents reported in Conroe had similar circumstances with at least two black males with handguns who robbed people walking in or near apartment complexes. Conroe police continue to investigate those robberies but have not connected them to the robbery that took place on Thursday.

Surveillance video from the Montgomery area captured images of one of the missing suspects. Anyone with additional information about the robberies is encouraged to contact Sgt. Brent Stowe by phone at 936-522-3224.
