If you wanted to run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain—well, it's too late for you this year. The annual celebration wrapped up on Sunday.
But if you are determined to cheat death this way, you're in luck: a similar event is bringing the bulls to Baytown.
On December 7th, the Great Bull Run will be held at the Royal Purple Raceway, which normally hosts motorsports events.
The venue's general manager, Seth Angel, tells FOX 26 News more than a thousand people have already signed up to dodge half-ton bulls barreling down a quarter-mile obstacle course.
"The participants that are involved in this activity obviously know, going into it, this is a very dangerous sport," said Angel. "It's a very dangerous event and you can get hurt."
Underscoring that point, in Pamplona this past weekend a young woman from Australia was gored, suffering broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
The Baytown event promises to have precautions in place to minimize the peril – where possible – both for the humans and the animals.
