Car fire closes Brooklyn Bridge lanes

A car fire temporarily closed eastbound lanes of the Brooklyn Bridge during the morning rush on Wednesday.

The Fire Department says the report of a vehicle fire on the bridge came in at 7:21 a.m. Wednesday.

Drivers were advised to use alternate routes.

All lanes reopened just before 9 am.
