Woman found stabbed to death in Queens apartment

NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police say a 35-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in her apartment.

The victim had numerous stab wounds to the body and neck. She was found in the bathroom of her Queens apartment Tuesday night and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have a suspect in custody.

The woman's identity was withheld pending family notification.

The WCS, which runs an aquarium and several zoos in New York, released the photo, taken by Julie Larsen Maher, of the whale breaching the surface of the water about six miles from the Rockaways.

    The rip current risk remains high along the New Jersey and New York coastlines.
