NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

An explosion rocked a car in Jersey City, injuring two people on Tuesday.

The blast happened near the intersection of New York Avenue and Congress Street.

A man doing refrigeration work at a deli in the area was loading some canisters into his car when at least one exploded. The blast hurt the worker and another man who was passing by.

Medics brought them to Jersey City Medical Center.
