A Houston area mother now sits in the Harris County jail after being charged in connection with the death of her three year old child.
On Saturday, 26 year old Sabrina Deleon, was charged with tampering with evidence, a human corpse and child endangerment. Her bond is set a $150,000 dollars.
Her first court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
On Friday, Child Protective Services took custody of a 6-year-old child during an emergency hearing in Liberty County.
Sabrina Deleon, 26, was initially placed in jail on an outstanding child endangerment warrant based out of Chambers County.
CPS began to investigate Deleon in April when she was involved in a vehicle accident along with the 6-year-old child who was injured as a result of not being placed in a car seat. The agency had also investigated Deleon before 2011.
Deleon told investigators that the missing 3-year-old child was in Mexico, but after the child's father denied this claim, CPS and Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating the death of the 3-year-old child. She has since told investigators that the child died in 2012 and she disposed of the child's body.
Investigators have still yet to find the child's body.
