Strong storms possible early Thursday

Posted: Updated:

A severe line of storms is working its way across the Midwest and could mean trouble for Georgia in the overnight or early morning hours on Thursday.

FOX 5 Storm Team meteorologist Steve Milone says there could be some strong showers and thunderstorms as early as Thursday morning.

After a lull, more storms could kick off in the afternoon.

"As it stands, we're expecting an isolated chance for t-showers in the afternoon, but only a 30 percent chance of rain or so," Milone writes.  "But, where those storms pop we could see some stronger storms with gusty winds, small hail, and frequent lightning."
