Man arrested for allegedly killing wife's friend

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -

A man is in the Douglas County Jail after he allegedly killed a friend of his wife.

Police say Raymond McKoy, 30, of Douglasville, shot the woman four times before fleeing to his father's house. Investigators believe McKoy blamed the victim for interfering in his relationship with his wife.

McKoy's father told police was able to secure the gun away from his son, but not before he ran off into the woods armed with a butcher knife.

Police were able to catch up with him shortly after arriving on the scene. He is being held in the Douglas County Jail without bond.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
