NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Police say a former Queens nursing home director is facing charges after she allegedly covered up the disappearance of a missing patient with dementia.

Authorities say 43-year-old Julie Clifford of Mount Vernon, falsified records to cover-up the disappearance of 74-year-old resident Alan Frazer, who suffers from dementia.

Frazer was being cared for at the Bishop Charles Waldo Maclean Nursing Home in Far Rockaway. The day after he went missing, Clifford allegedly changed Frazer's medical records to say he left against medical advice.

Investigators say Clifford should never called 911.

"I have no tolerance for individuals who neglect seniors in the care of a nursing home," said Attorney General Schneiderman. "Our most vulnerable citizens deserve high-quality care and peace of mind. Because this individual acted recklessly and unlawfully, someone who needs care is missing."

Clifford faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

Authorities ask anyone with information on the whereabouts of Alan Frazer to call Missing Persons at 1-800-346-3543.

A Delta Air Lines flight from La Guardia Airport to West Palm Beach, Florida, was diverted to Jacksonville because of a dispute between passengers over a reclining seat. Delta reportedly says the flight was diverted Monday night when a woman got into an argument with a passenger behind her when the woman was trying to recline her seat while the other passenger was trying to sleep on the tray table.

New York City subway riders are getting back service on the G train between Brooklyn and Queens. The return of service comes as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority reopens a tunnel Tuesday that was heavily damaged by Superstorm Sandy. The Greenpoint tunnel has been closed for five weeks for repairs. Shuttle buses were provided between G stops in Queens and Brooklyn during that time.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
