NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Major League Baseball is preparing to suspend as many as 20 players, including injured Yankee Alex Rodriguez and Brewer Ryan Braun, in connection with a Florida clinic that is embroiled in a performance-enhancing drug scandal, according to a report on ESPN.com.

The report claims that Tony Bosch, the founder of Biogenesis of America, has reached a deal to cooperate with the investigation into the players and the clinic, verifying the authenticity of some damaging documents and thus giving MLB the ammunition to seek suspensions.

The documents contain the real names and code names of many players who allegedly received banned substances from the now-defunct clinic.

A source told ESPN's "Outside the Lines" that MLB may seek to suspend Rodriguez and others for 100 games. That would mean that A-Rod, who is on the disabled list, would not return to the Yankees until 2014, if ever, if the suspension is upheld.

Just one season of hits in high school football may alter brain

Even among high school football players who've never had a concussion, a small preliminary study suggests that changes can still occur to their brains within the course of a single season.
