If developer Todd Schneider has his way, downtown Atlanta will join London, Paris, Chicago and other cities with Ferris wheels.
The proposed attraction, which would be called "SkyView Atlanta," could be up by mid-summer and will be located near Centennial Olympic Park.
"We know this stuff. We do this stuff. This wheel is something pretty special. We're just there to compliment the experience in Atlanta," Schneider said.
Atlanta City Council will be asked to approve the project, which would cost $13.50 for an adult and $8.50 per child. The ride would go around four times and last about 15 minutes, according to developers.
Developers told city council members that there would be a big demand for the Ferris wheel.
The council will vote on Monday at 1 p.m.
