HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Former Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein said he did not land a contract with the Houston Texans after he went through the team's rookie camp that concluded Sunday.

Klein was among 11 rookies brought in for tryouts, to go along with six veterans.

"No, I did not sign," Klein said in an interview with FOX 26 Sports before catching a flight. "I think they're working through some things.

"I feel very good that I put my best foot forward and just so grateful they gave me the opportunity."

Klein was a finalist for the 2012 Heisman Trophy and was the 2012 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.
