Vehicle carrying children slams into tree in Fulton County

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -

Authorities in Fulton County say several people were injured after a vehicle ran into a tree on Friday.

Police say the single car accident happened in the 5800 block of Feldwood Road in College Park at 10 a.m. The say the car, driven by a male and carrying three children -- all female, left the roadway and struck the tree.

Authorities say a 7-year-old child was life-flighted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. A 5-year-old and a 13-year-old were taken by ambulance to the same hospital.  The 20-year-old driver was transported to Grady Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers cited the driver, Antavious Roach, for failure to maintain lane and two child restraint violations.

The accident is under investigation.
