A Missouri City woman says she saved almost $1,000 on her annual wireless bill and she wants to share the secret with you.
Cynthia Gratzer is a mom and an entrepreneur who runs her own small business out of her home. She calls herself the Savvy MOMpreneur.
Gratzer is always online or on the phone, tapping and swiping on one device or another. And the same goes for the rest of her family.
"We're electronic," she laughed. "We use them non-stop. Non-stop."
So Cynthia Gratzer finally turned to a website to analyze her wireless bill, after getting tired of watching her monthly payment expand.
"You start seeing your bill go up and up and up," said Gratzer. "And all of a sudden, like, how is my cell phone bill 200, 300 dollars?"
When Gratzer visited SaveLoveGive.com and typed in her wireless login and password, she says the site promptly presented her with four recommendations – different plans her carrier offers – that might better suit her needs.
The website works by finding the gap between the wireless services you pay for, and what you actually use.
"Pick a plan and then we send the carrier an email," explained SaveLoveGive co-founder Todd Dunphy. "Once the carrier gets that email, then the plan change starts. And your bill goes down the next month."
The Sugar Land-based company offers its services to consumers for free. And the analysis and comparison only take a few minutes, says Dunphy.
If you don't like any of the SaveLoveGive recommendations, you can always stick with what you've already got.
And if the site does save you money, you can choose to donate some of your savings to charity before you log off.
Gratzer tells FOX 26 she didn't see any reduction in service – only in the amount she owes every month.
"Yeah, noticed a difference in the bill," she said. "Cell phone still rings!"
