Police identify man whose body found on Rosenberg road

ROSENBERG, Texas (FOX 26) -

Two days after Rosenberg police found the body of a man in a field, officers have identified the man and determined that he was the victim of a homicide.

Rosenberg officers found the body after 10 a.m. on Tuesday on Hartledge Road near U.S. Highway 59.

Investigators have identified the homicide victim as Vicente Manzano-Mendez, a 44-year-old Mexican national from the state of Guanajuato. An autopsy determined that Manzano-Mendez was the victim of homicide.

Manzano-Mendez was last heard from on April 8 in McAllen. He was traveling to Corsicana.

Investigators are seeking information from anyone who had seen or heard from Manzano-Mendez since April 8.
