Tux, rings chosen for Operation Wedding couple

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

We are just over a week away from our Operation Wedding. Ashton Gardens in Sugar Hill has been busy helping to coordinate all the details of the big event for Staff Sergeant Ancil Christoper and his fiance Tamika Russell.

Among the free gifts donated by vendors is Ancil's tux and the couple's wedding bands.

On their journey to the alter, we got a peek into Tamika Russell's dress-picking process. Now Ancil had to pick out his tuxedo.

At Savvi Formalwear, you can get just about any style and cut of tux available, but Ancil decided to lean on store manager Jeff Hill's expertise. With his help, they found the right tux that met with Ancil's and Tamika's approval.

With the tux selected, it was time to get the rings. The folks over at Union Diamond helped the couple choose their rings. Union Diamond's CEO Tony Rixom said the rings, like the couple, are a perfect match.

"If you look at the engagement ring, it's a nice match to go with it. It's masculine, it's got that same type of look and this is a great combination. They're a great couple," said Rixom.

Ahston Gardens is not only providing the venue at no cost to our lucky military couple, it also coordinated with other vendors to provide everything from the flowers, to the DJ, to the honeymoon -- all at no charge.

Ancil and Tamika will be getting married at Ashton Gardens next week.
