A transgender Spring High School student will be able to wear a dress to the prom after all. He originally thought he wasn't going to be able to.
"I talked to the assistant principal and he said 'no.' Then I spoke to the principal and she said she didn't know, nobody has ever asked that before," said Tony Zamazal.
He posted all this on facebook, and was prepared to ask the school board about it.
The next thing he knew, the ACLU has jumped into the fray and told the school district he was legally allowed to. The district's lawyers responded that indeed he was, and he had never been denied.
Now he was a date, a friend named Bella who will wear a Tux. What is he going to wear?
"I have some ideas for a dress I just haven't bought it yet," he says.
