Man shot to death at north Harris County shopping center

Posted: Updated:

Harris county sheriff's deputies say a 5 Car accident is connected to a shooting death.

Sheriff's deputies say they are looking for two men who took off on foot.

They say it all began around 6 p.m. Friday night. The driver of a silver Impala and his passenger picked up two other men at a nearby apartment complex.

All four men drove to north Harris County shopping center when the two suspects tried to rob the other two men.

Deputies say there was a struggle inside the car and the driver was shot in the head.

He crashed into four different vehicles outside the Cricket store.

The friend of a witness who was inside that Cricket store when it happened says it's lucky no one else was injured.

"I mean there are so many stores here, Cricket, Subway, the washateria. It could've been anybody. She could've been in the line of fire," said Daisy Rivera.

The passenger of the vehicle is in custody and is cooperating with detectives.
