HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

A University of Houston-Downtown student says he's the victim of a hate campaign because he is gay and has AIDS.

Kris Sharpe says someone stole his medical records from an AIDS clinic and printed up flyers with his photo saying "Want AIDS? Don't support the Isaac and Kris Homosexual Agenda."

Someone has scrawled "Issak +Chris=AIDS" in a campus men's room.

Thursday the university held a tolerance forum where students criticized the school for not taking the issue seriously and doing more to promote diversity.

Spokesperson Claire Caton strongly denies that.

"Anytime a student's rights are violated we take it very seriously and so our UHD police department launched an internal criminal investigation," says Caton.

Sharp says he was not at the meeting, He was being questioned about the graffiti by the police. He has hired a lawyer.
