A pregnant woman is taken to the hospital after a love triangle dispute leads to a hit-and-run vehicle incident -- two women, allegedly pregnant by the same man, and one was left injured.
The extensive damage to the house speaks volumes about just how injured the 21-year-old pregnant woman, Alise Kelley, who was struck by the beige Lincoln Continental LS that was allegedly driven by her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend.
Kelley was pinned between the vehicle and the house.
"Very seriously injured leg, maybe two. She's in Hermann Hospital in stable condition," said Officer Kelvin Johnson with the Houston Police Department. When asked if she could lose one or both of her legs, Johnson responded, "At this time, it's undetermined, but there is a possibility."
"I put a towel around her leg and applied pressure until EMS got here," explained the injured woman's boyfriend Christopher Chaney. He is also the father of two children with the 26-year-old woman who was the alleged driver in the hit-and-run incident, Shareyll Starre Hunter.
Both of the women are pregnant. Both, supposedly, carrying Chaney's baby.
"The former girlfriend (Hunter) is four months pregnant. The current girlfriend (Kelley) is five months pregnant and it's believed to be by the same gentleman," explained Officer Johnson. Chaney, 28, is already the father of four children, including the two with Hunter. He says the two pregnant women have been arguing non-stop with one another.
"I was in my house asleep and one of my kid's mother came. They been texting and talking to each other over the phone and saying they want to fight each other and to meet up right here and do it," said Chaney and that's apparently what happened right outside his southwest Houston home on Ravensworth Drive near Wembley Drive in southwest Houston before 10 a.m. Thursday.
Chaney says he is a tow truck driver while Kelley is a waitress. He says Hunter is unemployed.
Kelley was visiting from Virginia.
"When I came outside I saw my kid's mother (Kelley) banging on the window saying she wanted to fight the other one and my other kids' mother (Hunter) got out of the car with a flashlight trying to fight the other one and she walked toward the house getting away from the flashlight and she revved the engine and pushed her into my house," explained Chaney.
Houston police say Hunter first stole Chaney's car then struck Kelley with the vehicle. Detectives say Hunter drove off in the four-door Lincoln Continental LS with paper license tags.
Police are seeking help from the public to help find Hunter. Investigators say there is a warrant for Hunter's arrest for a previous charge in 2011 of failure to identify herself to officers.
The baby of the injured Kelley is expected to survive. She was in stable condition.
