The Apollo Theater in Harlem will host a world premiere of a dance performance set to the music of the "Godfather of Soul" James Brown.

The legendary theater is partnering with the city of Lafayette, La., on "James Brown: Get On the Good Foot -- A Celebration in Dance."

Set to premiere on Oct. 22, it'll feature dance numbers by six choreographers from around the world. A national tour is planned.

Dancers from the Philadelphia Dance Company will perform to the "I Feel Good" icon's music and also to new works influenced by Brown.

Brown performed at the Apollo more than 200 times. He died in 2006.

Apollo Executive Producer Mikki Shepard cited his enormous influence on funk, soul, R & B, jazz, pop, rock and rap.

Tickets for James Brown: Get on the Good Foot—A Celebration in Dance go on sale on April 30th. Visit apollotheater.org for more information.

NYC woman finds wedding dress lost after Sandy

When a New York City dry cleaners was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy, the only item to survive was Nicole Pagliaro's wedding dress. But her name was lost to owner Hector Pacheco, who reopened after more than a year and in a new location. Pagliaro had brought the dress to him after her 2012 wedding. When the storm swamped and shuttered the Staten Island store, she assumed it was lost. But two weeks ago, she took a different route to work and spotted it in the window.
