HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies are looking for an escaped prisoner right now.

40 year old Britt Privatte went missing Sunday afternoon from the Montgomery County jail.  Guards believe Privatte scaled a wall in the recreation yard and broke through the upper fencing to the roof.

Overnight investigators received a tip that man matching the description of Privatte was seen near a wooded area close to the jail.

Privatte is believed to be wearing boxer shorts and a long sleeve shirt.

Residents and business owners in the Conroe area should maintain vigilance for suspicious activity.

Privatte was arrested back in January for bank robbery and was being held on four counts of aggravated robbery and two other charges.

He was known to work in the Walker County area but has a home address listed in Sugar Land.  Investigators are offering a $5,000 dollar reward for information leading to his capture.
