The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo expects to wrap it's three week run, tomorrow, with some record setting attendance numbers.
Paid attendance, for RodeoHouston shows, is already more than a hundred thousand more than ever before.
And regular attendance is expected to hit a record 2.4 million visitors.
Rodeo organizers say they work to keep the experience a fresh mix of nostalgia and contemporary entertainment.
The rodeo's Leroy Shafer says, "We're top-flight cutting edge entertainment, but at the same time: we're still a celebration of the western heritage and culture that this city was founded on."
The rodeo says it has added $6 million dollars to its scholarship fund, this year, to more than 700 recipients.
The rodeo ends, Sunday, with a sold-out, farewell George Strait concert.
