SPRING, Texas (FOX 26) -
A dozen fire departments are working to contain a large wildfire in the Spring area.
The woods fire broke out around 7 p.m. Friday in the 24500 block of Birnamwood.
Spring Volunteer fire dept says that 15 acres are burning near Gloria Marshall Elementary School.
Spring fire officials tell us that 25 percent of the fire is contained.
There are some homes nearby, but so far the fire department tells us that evacuations are not needed.
Scott Schoohver with the Spring VFD tells us that this fire is in the same place that burned back in 2011.
