Rebuilding destroyed Ga. plant may take 4 months

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Representatives of a factory that was destroyed in a January tornado say the rebuilding effort may take up to four months.

Wes Stephenson, manager of the Daiki Corp. plant in Adairsville, met with members of the local business community Thursday. The steel manufacturing plant employs more than 90 people and has been damaged by tornadoes twice.

The Rome News-Tribune (http://bit.ly/XY5uuF) reports Japan's acting consul general in Atlanta Joji Miyamori and consul for economic and intergovernmental affairs, Midori Yamamitsu, toured the devastated site after meeting with the Adairsville Council of the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce.

Miyamori thanked the local business community for raising money for Daiki employees, and thanked the American business community for helping Japan recover from a tsunami that devastated the northeast region of the country two years ago.

I'm tracking this area of low pressure off the coast, but even if it does organize into a depression or storm it will likely just be a rain-maker for SE Texas.
