Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The identities of the two people found dead in a brush fire in the Howard Beach section of Queens have been released.

Rudy Superville, 22, of Brooklyn, and Gary Lopez, 25, of Brooklyn, were fully clothed and lying face down in Spring Creek Park when they were discovered Wednesday morning, said police.

Firefighters responded to a call of a fire at 159 Avenue and 78th Street just off the Belt Parkway at about 4:15 a.m.

It is not clear if the victims were dead before the two-alarm fire began or if they died during the blaze.

Investigators say the bodies may have been killed elsewhere and dumped in the marsh and that the fire was started to cover up the crime.

On Thursday, police released photos of three vehicles seen near the fire.

Cops say the occupants of the vehicles are wanted for questioning.

The photos are from surveillance video taken by cameras near 157 Avenue and 83rd Street.

One of the vehicles is a two-tone, dark colored van. The second vehicle is a four-door, light colored sedan and the third vehicle is a four-door, dark-colored sedan.

Anyone with information about the fire, the victims or the vehicles is encouraged to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers at any  of the following:
