Philadelphia cops have arrested a suspect they say opened fire into a crowd surrounding the tour bus of rapper French Montana, killing a man from Queens, N.Y., MyFoxPhilly.com reported.

Authorities charged Frank Briggs, 20, with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and illegal gun crimes in connection with the shooting that happened just before midnight Feb. 28, 2013, near Penn's Landing, a police spokeswoman said.

The Morocco-born rapper played a sold-out show at the Theatre of Living Arts that evening. Then the tour bus and some cars carrying the rapper's entourage went to a hotel for a party when a gunman opened fire on the crowd outside the bus.

Jowann King, 26, of Flushing, was killed.

French Montana was not hurt.
