Firefighters battle multi-alarm blaze in southwest Houston

The fire broke out just before 9 p.m. at the Westheimer Apartments in the 7900 block of Westheimer near Old Farm Road.

Firefighters arrived on scene finding at least one apartment fully engulfed in flames

Concerns that the fire could rapidly spread due to high winds forced firefighters to call for a second alarm for additional manpower.

The fire was brought under control just before 9:30 p.m.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
