Parents of students at Clear Brook High School in the Clear Creek Independent School District learned an administrator was threatened with graffiti found on a campus restroom wall.
As a result of the written threat, the security level on the campus was increased and the Galveston County Sheriff's Department is conducting an investigation into the isolated incident. Additional police officers were posted on the Clear Brook campus.
"While at this point we have no reason to believe the writing is a credible threat, I want our students and families to know that we take any type of threat seriously," wrote Principal Michele Staley in a statement sent to parents of Clear Brook students. "Please help me in talking with our students about the serious implications of making threats against a school, a student, or a staff member. In addition to disciplinary actions by the school district, the suspect will be arrested and face criminal charges."
