Sequestration could cause delays at Atlanta airport

The sequestration could also have a major impact on the world's busiest airport
Airport officials already recommend getting to the airport early, but spending cuts could force travelers to get to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport even earlier.
General manager Louis Miller says cutbacks would mean 20 to 30 percent longer wait times thanks to the closure of one runway at peak hours. He warns if that happens, passengers better be ready to pack their patience.
"I think we can probably work around it and make it work but it would cause delays, no doubt about it," Miller said.
The longer wait times would include international travelers who would have to clear customs as well.
Hartsfield-Jackson is not the only airport facing drastic measures due to sequestration. At Kennesaw's McCollum Field, there is talk of closing the traffic tower if a deal is not reached by Friday.
