Galveston Police issue warning about individuals posing as city officials to make warrant calls

Galveston Police are trying to get the word out about individuals posing as City officials attempting to collect money from citizens by telling them they have outstanding municipal  warrants.

The suspects are calling residents claming to work for an attorney. The residents are then instructed to send money or they will be arrested.

The suspects are using actual employee names and caller ID spoofing applications to disguise their identity and location.
