No Bieber a 'Common' All-Star celebrity game sentiment

Posted: Updated:
HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

You don't need to be a pro to get in on the NBA All-Star Jam Session action.

In fact, in some cases, too much height means you just can't play ball. In the toddler and small children hoop section, when little ones got tired, they could sit and color.

The George R Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston has been transformed into a basketball fan's dream come. From toddler-friendly hoops to skill challenges, fans could try even try their luck at sling-shotting stuffed basketball balls.

Yards away, former players, actors and musicians participating in the Celebrity All Star game walked a "yellow" carpet.

Usain Bolt, the Jamaican sprinter known as the fastest man in the world, had a game plan going in.

"I'll be dunking," he said. "Just all dunks. That's it. That's what I'm on."

Musician and actor Common was thinking about another celebrity game.

"I want to play against Justin Bieber again," he said.

No Bieber this year.

And that's probably a good thing. Otherwise a little girl we caught up to in the NBA store would've probably had a different answer when asked about her favorite stop at the GRB.

"I think this one," she said. " I get to buy everything."
