HOUSTON (FOX 26) -
There will be a major announcement in Houston on Friday about the S.H.A.P.E. Community Center, FOX 26 News has learned.
Sources say the historic organization with its three properties in the historic Third Ward of Houston has been saved from a forced sell. This comes after a New Jersey-based company won a judgement against the African American center in 2009 for failing to pay for a $30,000 leased copy machine.
S.H.A.P.E. Community Center was auctioned off after failing to pay $80,000 for the lease agreement and legal fees.
