Texans Shaun Cody has back surgery

Houston Texans nose tackle Shaun Cody has been released from Marina Del Rey Hospital in Los Angeles, California after undergoing "successful microscopic lumbar disectomy surgery for a lumbar disc herniation" according to Longo
Communications.
 
The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert Watkins on Jan. 29 according to the media relations firm.
 
Cody, who contract is up, has been with the Texans for four years.
 
Last season he played in 13 games, starting 12.
