Montgomery County Pct. 4 Deputy Constables bust a man who thought he was going to meet a 15 year old girl for sex. "We stopped a sexual assault from happening." said Pct 4 Constable "Rowdy" Hayden.
Deputies say Stanley Haney contacted a fifteen year old girl on Facebook and started having sexually explicit conversations with her. She told her mother what was happening, and she called the deputy constables. Pct 4 took over her Facebook account and set up a meeting at a Patton Village convenience store. When they arrested him they found a package of condoms in his truck.
Haney is a registered sex offender. In 1995 he was convicted of sexual assault and he's been in and out of prison. Pct 4 says Pct 3 was working a similar sting, a deputy was posing as a thirteen year old girl.
Deputies say the 15 year old girl is the hero here. "We're extremely proud of this young girl for bringing this to her parent's attention. She's a true trooper for doing what she did. We were able to get a child predator off the streets today." said Hayden.
