Are you single and ready to mingle? Houston is the place to be, according to a new study!
However, after meeting with a matchmaker, it'll take more than just a single status to meet your match.
"Single ... super single," said Ashley Sparks. "I have a great time being single, I love it and I prefer to stay that way," but should Christopher Walker ever have a change of heart, he's in the perfect city.
"I agree there's a lot of great single young professionals that are available and looking" said Jerrode McClain, another once-single Houstonian. It appears many agree with Houston being one of the top ten cities for singles. According to a new study published on a personal finance website, Houston ranked 7 out of 10 for single ladies.
Research also found for every 115 unmarried men there's about 100 single women and some of them may be Jamie Rose's clients.
"I feel like I'm connecting bubbles all day because he's in his bubble and she's in her bubble and they would realistically never meet each other" says Rose who's the CEO and head of Rose Matchmaking.
She adds there's also more to dating and relationships than just knowing you live in a "HOT-ZONE" or the bubble as she calls it , "Even little changes like hey I'm going to go to central market over here as opposed to Kroger you might bump into somebody that you never would bump into."
Who knows? It could turn into a first date but beware of common mistakes like talking about your ex, or yourself and most importantly watch your body language "smile, look interested, don't cross your arms you can lean in play with your hair these are all signs of positive body language."
No guarantee things will always work out of course but at least you'll break up with bad habits in a singles city.
"I'm into meeting different people" said Sparks who was happy to hear her city ranks 7 out of 10.
"Try new things, get out there contact a matchmaker everyone should do it and it doesn't hurt."
