If time is money, Houstonians are wasting a bunch of it every day sitting in traffic. An annual Texas A&M Transportation Institution study found that national driving patterns shows Americans spent 5.5 Billion additional hours sitting in traffic in 2011.
So just how bad is traffic. On a national average, drivers plan for an hour to make a trip that would take 20 minutes without traffic.
