Texas residents and visitors to Galveston can enjoy parasailing without traveling to other states or exotic destinations, just in time for the 2013 spring break period.

Caribbean Breeze Parasailing will begin offering 15-minute flights over the Gulf of Mexico between March and September.

Customers will have the opportunity to parasail within two miles from the Galveston shore with heights reaching as much as 500 feet above the Gulf.

Caribbean Breeze Parasailing will serve as the only parasail operator on Galveston island and will offer excursions at a rate of $90 per person.

said the company is excited to bring a unique adventure activity to Galveston just in time for Spring Break.

"Parasailing can be enjoyed by anyone," said John Wilson, general manager of Caribbean Breeze Parasailing. "You don't have to be able to swim to go parasailing. The technology and equipment is so advance today that parasailing is actually a dry sport."
