NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Repair crews were on the scene Monday of last week's water main break in Manhattan.

The Department of Environmental Protection says the broken pipe in the Flatiron District released 750 gallons of water a minute. Express train service was restored later Friday night, but local service took a little longer.

Several buses are being detoured due to street closures. Click here for updates.

The MTA restored subway service on the N, Q and R lines on Friday.

The station at 23rd Street started to flood in the morning when a 36-inch water main gave way.

The water pressure to buildings in the area has also been restored.

The DEP says the broken water main is nearly 100 years old.
